Weistec Engineering – Porsche 3.4L 987.2 ECU Tune – Boxster / Cayman

Description

Weistec Engineering ECU tune for the Porsche Boxster and Cayman (2009-2012) with the 3.4L Boxer 6 (MA1.21). Weistec’s crank figures put the tuned engine at 340 hp and 285 lb-ft, up from 310 hp and 265 lb-ft stock, from a recalibration of the factory ECU software.

Key Features:

• Up to +30 hp / +20 lb-ft: Weistec’s crank estimate of 340 hp and 285 lb-ft, from Dynojet testing; real gains depend on fuel, conditions and supporting modifications.
• Stage calibrations: W.1 (Stock Vehicle) and W.2 (Race Exhaust fitted), so the calibration matches the hardware on your car.
• Reflash of the factory ECU: the original module is recalibrated rather than replaced with a stand-alone or piggyback unit.
• What changes: optimized fueling, optimized ignition timing and removed speed limiter.
• Tuning method: Cypher Classic: flashed at home with the Weistec Cypher Classic handheld.
• Burble & pops available: deceleration burble can be added to the calibration on request.
