Designed as a direct replacement for the factory lower downpipe section, this catless resonated pipe reduces exhaust restriction while retaining a resonated design to help control unwanted exhaust rasp and excessive cabin noise.
Unlike a complete downpipe replacement, this lower-section design focuses on improving flow through the lower portion of the exhaust system. Because the factory ECU is not calibrated to take full advantage of the additional flow, gains on a stock tune are modest. The biggest performance improvements come when paired with ECU tuning.
The integrated V-band connections provide a secure, serviceable connection and make installation and future exhaust modifications easier.

Why Upgrade?
The factory exhaust system is designed around emissions control, noise reduction, and OEM calibration rather than maximum exhaust flow. Replacing the restrictive lower section with a freer-flowing resonated pipe allows exhaust gases to move more efficiently while maintaining some acoustic control through the integrated resonator.
On a stock ECU, the improvement is relatively modest because the factory calibration does not fully utilize the additional flow. When combined with ECU tuning, however, the engine can take greater advantage of the reduced exhaust restriction.
The resonated design also makes this upgrade a good option for enthusiasts looking to improve exhaust flow and sound without going to an entirely non-resonated setup.

Power output varies by model and factory calibration. SQ5 applications (~354 HP) and A6/A7 3.0T applications with approximately 310–340 HP can experience similar platform-level improvements, but actual results will vary.
